Battery quality and capacity

  • Wisepill LiPo batteries have a 12-month warranty.
  • Typical life is two to three years depending on use.
  • Maximum useful life is approximately 300 charge cycles.
  • Capacity normally reduces by about 10% per year.

Storage

  • Always disconnect batteries when not in use and store them in a cool place.
  • For storage, maintain approximately 50% charge (around 3.6 to 3.7 V).
  • Long-term storage at full charge increases capacity loss.

End of life

  • Do not keep a LiPo battery in operation for more than four years.
  • If voltage falls below 3 V or no voltage is measured, the battery is unusable and should be discarded safely.

See the Battery Safety Bulletin above for the complete safety guidance.
